KEO ACTIVITY HOLIDAY

Once again our main group will be based at the fabulous Atlantica Bay Hotel in the Amathus area of Limassol. This will be our twelfth group visit to this hotel, so you can be assured that we are extremely happy with the quality and service offered. This year has seen the opening of the new kitchen and restaurant, offering live cooking to complement the extensive buffet.

The Atlantica Bay features a heated outdoor swimming pool, health club and gym, which our guests may use without charge, and the restaurant offers a fine choice of dishes, breakfast and dinner being included in our prices. All rooms have private facilities, satellite TV, radio, mini bar, hair dryer and telephone. Evening entertainment is featured in the Apollo Room, with guest artists as well as the hotel team.

Cyprus is an island offering a warm welcome to all tourists, but our special relationship with both race organisers and the management of the hotel will mean you’ll have an extra special welcome as part of our friendly group.

Prices are per person sharing a standard twin room, based on Half Board. Meals are buffet style.

A new event to be held near the hotel. We are not sure of the quality of this event, and it is not part of our programme, though we are happy to assist with entries.

Organised by our good friends Cyprus Health Runners, the island’s biggest running club, this well established event is now in it’s eleventh year, and finishers receive a Tee Shirt and Medal, and usually a sports bag. Starting and finishing at the new Yeroskipou Sports Centre in Paphos you’ll run through Kato Paphos and pass the Tomb of the Kings, one of the island’s most visited tourist attractions, before turning back and heading for the Finish Line, where a superb atmosphere will be helped by hospitality including fresh fruit and lots of drinks from the sponsors KEO, who offer draught beer, fruit juice and water. With good cash prizes for the first three men and ladies, and trophies for veteran categories in 5-year stages, you’ll soon discover why this event attracts people year after year.

A run for all levels of runners (therefore not a race !!!) which ends at the famous KEO Brewery & Winery, where runners and non-runners can enjoy drinks with the compliments of our sponsor KEO.

A lovely walk in the hills between these two villages. This walk is on wide trails for much of the way, and is slightly undulating, but is ideal for those who can walk at a pace of 20 minute miles. Regular stops will be made for catch-ups and comfort breaks. The coach ride is approx half-an-hour from the hotel.

2 races over 2 days, totalling ten miles. The first course will be 4.5 miles on a hilly, mainly off road, course. Day 2 sees us run on the coast road and beach path from Atlantica Bay Hotel, on a course of 5.5 miles. A presentation will take place in the hotel afterwards, with trophies being awarded for the first 3 persons in the open race, and in 5 year veteran categories.

New organisers should ensure that this event will run with military precision. A flat, fast course starting and finishing at the historic Kolossi Castle. Low cost entry fee to our clients, trophies in 5 year categories and after race drinks supplied by KEO.

Shorter and longer durations also possible, as well as some other airports, so just ask.

Please Note: In the unlikely event of our walk or races being cancelled, becoming impassable or dangerous due to weather conditions, we will substitute other venues or refund any fees paid.
